Trademark law could careless about the infringing parties status. You should study copyright and trademark law. There's no 1.0 official release, it's a constant stream of content and bug fixes from a very dedicated and knowledgable developer staff. The server is always at least 1/2 full (often near 75%+). Content gets added regularly (I believe they're at update 6). They're fully playable now, bugs get fixed regularly. They don't benefit from running these services. There is nothing EA, or any other future holder of the star wars video game IP, can do about them.Īlso, they're non-profit organizations.
